The Bible is full of stories that can be used as kids Bible stories. From the first story about Adam and Eve to the stories about Jesus and his disciples.

These stories teach valuable lessons about being kind, sharing, patience, courage, and faith, among other things. 

However, many of these lessons are relevant to adults, but they’re especially important to teach children early. As such, these kids’ Bible stories should be familiar to every kid in your life!

The Birth of Jesus

Jesus was born in a stable in Bethlehem because there was no room for him at the inn. His parents, Mary and Joseph, were visited by shepherds and wise men bearing gifts. Angels appeared to the shepherds and told them that the Savior had been born. 

Therefore, the wise men followed a star to find Jesus. And when they arrived, they gave him gold, frankincense, and myrrh.

Jesus taught people about God’s love and performed many miracles as he grew up. Moreso, after his death on the cross, he rose from the dead three days later and went back to heaven.

The Good Samaritan Bible Stories

The Good Samaritan is one of the most popular kids Bible stories. In this story, a man is robbed and left for dead. A Samaritan comes along and helps him. 

However, even though the man was a Jew and the Samaritan was considered an enemy. This story teaches us to love our enemies and help those in need. It’s also important to note that Jesus praised the good deeds of the Samaritan in Luke 10:25-37.

The Prodigal Son Bible Stories

However, the story begins with a young man who asks his father for his inheritance. The father obliges, and the son leaves home with his newfound wealth. He quickly squanders it all on wild living. 

Therefore, when he has no money left, he returns home, hoping his father will take him back as a servant. His father welcomes him with open arms and throws a big party to celebrate his return. The son has learned a valuable lesson about love and forgiveness and is redeemed.

Jacob and Esau Bible Stories

Jacob and Esau were twin brothers who had very different personalities. Esau was a hairy man who loved to hunt, while Jacob was a smooth man who stayed at home.

One day, when Jacob was cooking some stew, Esau came in from the field and asked for some. Jacob said he would give it to him if Esau would give him his birthright. Esau agreed, and so Jacob became the rightful heir to their father’s estate. 

Fortunately, when they got older, Esau discovered that Jacob had tricked him and told their father what had happened. Isaac didn’t want to take away the blessing that God promised Jacob. But he felt like he should punish his son for tricking his brother. 

So Isaac told them they could work out their differences with wrestling matches until one of them gave up. After two days of wrestling with no victor, an angel appeared to them. Tell them they would live as long as they did not stop fighting.

Therefore, they wrestled until both of them were too tired to continue any longer without getting hurt. The next morning, Esau offered to sell his birthright to Jacob for just one bowl of soup. And this story is one of the kids Bible stories.

Joseph and His Brother’s Bible Stories

Joseph was his father’s favorite son, and his brothers were very jealous of him. One day, Joseph dreamed that his brothers would bow down to him. And this made them even angrier. 

Nevertheless, they sold Joseph into slavery, taking him to Egypt. There, he was falsely accused of a crime and put into prison. 

But, the Lord was with Joseph and could interpret the dreams of two other prisoners. When the Pharaoh had a dream, no one could interpret it. Joseph told him it meant there would be seven years of plenty and seven years of famine. 

However, Pharaoh put Joseph in charge of storing food during the seven years of plenty. So that there would be enough to eat during the famine. After the famine, all of Egypt came to live in Joseph’s hometown because they had been saved from starvation.

Noah’s Ark Bible Stories

Noah’s Ark is one of the most popular kids Bible stories. It teaches about God’s power, obedience, and faithfulness. The story of Noah’s Ark can be found in Genesis 6-9. 

Nevertheless, God told Noah to build an ark so that he and his family could survive the great flood. After it was completed. The rain came down from heaven for 40 days and 40 nights until the earth was flooded with water. 

However, a dove would return to tell Noah when it was safe to leave the ark. By finding land on which to rest its foot. God told him it was time to leave the ark when it did. 

Because He had made a covenant never again to destroy all living creatures as He had done this time. 

Therefore, God also promised never again to make a flood like this one. But someday, He will make a new world where there will be no more sorrow or pain (Revelation 21:4).

David and Goliath Bible Stories

David was a young shepherd boy. He was sent by his father to take food to his brothers who were fighting in the army. When David arrived, he saw that the Israelites feared Goliath, a giant Philistine warrior.

However, David offered to fight Goliath, and with God’s help, he won! This story teaches us that God is with us even when we’re up against something big and scary. And can help us overcome any obstacle.

Jacob’s Ladder – Genesis 28:

Here, we see Jacob on his way back from Haran when he dreams about a ladder stretching into heaven with angels going up and down it. Moreso, the ladder had been set on earth, so the angels could go up or down, whichever they pleased. 

But there was no other sight than that some beings were ascending while others were descending. There were four rungs on which they all walked in order upwards or downwards.

Jonah & the Whale Bible Stories

Jonah was a man who God called to go to the city of Nineveh. And warn them of their impending destruction. But Jonah didn’t want to go, so he boarded a ship headed in the opposite direction. 

Soon enough, a storm arose, and Jonah was thrown overboard. A whale swallowed him. But after spending three days in its belly, he spat back onto dry land.

However, Jonah finally went to Nineveh and warned the people, who then repented and were saved from destruction. Afterward, he had second thoughts about what happened to him: I wanted death rather than life, said Jonah (Jonah 4:3). 

But now, my life is worth more than my death! (Jonah 4:9) This story teaches us to do what God asks of us even if it seems hard or dangerous at first. And it also teaches us that with God, nothing is impossible!

Daniel in the Lion’s Den Bible Stories

One of the most well-known Kids bible stories is that of Daniel in the lion’s den. Daniel was a man who remained faithful to God even when it meant going against the king’s orders. As a result, he was thrown into a den of lions as punishment. 

But God protected Daniel, and he was unharmed. The story teaches us that we should always remain faithful to God no matter the consequences. 

Moses and the Plagues of Egypt Bible Stories

Moses led his people out of Egypt after they were enslaved for years. During their escape, Pharaoh sent his army after them to try to stop them. 

But Moses parted the Red Sea so they could walk across on dry land. At the same time, Pharaoh’s army drowned in the water. 

Therefore, that story teaches us that if we are committed to following God. Then He will help us defeat our enemies!

Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego in the Fiery Furnace Bible Stories

These three friends are known for their faithfulness to God. Even when faced with death, they refused to worship false idols.

As a result, they were thrown into a fiery furnace. But God protected them, and they came out unscathed! This story teaches us that we can trust God even through tough things.

Joshua and the Battle of Jericho – Joshua 2 and 6

The story of Joshua and the Battle of Jericho is one of the most well-known Bible stories. In the story, Joshua and the Israelites are trying to take over the city of Jericho. 

However, The walls of Jericho are so high to climb that Joshua has to devise a plan. He has the Israelites march around the city once a day for six days. On the seventh day, they march around the city seven times. 

Moreso, as they march, they blow their trumpets. On the seventh time around, when they blow their trumpets, the walls of Jericho come tumbling down! Joshua and his army walk into the city and set it on fire.

Therefore, they slaughter all its inhabitants except for Rahab, who hides her family in her house’s windowless inner room.

She shows kindness to the spies sent by Joshua. By letting them escape through her window on a rope ladder made from old bedsheets. 

But it turns out that this plan worked because all the people inside were hearing the sound all day long. They couldn’t sleep, eat or do anything else because they worried about what was going on outside.

The Prophet Samuel’s Call – 1 Samuel 3

Another one of the popular kids bible stories is the prophet Samuel’s call. When Samuel was just a young boy, he was called by God to be a prophet.

This meant he would have to speak God’s words to the people even when they didn’t want to hear them. However, it wasn’t an easy job, but Samuel was obedient and did what God asked of him.

Fortunately, as a young boy, Samuel was called by God to be a prophet. Though initially afraid, he listened to God and did as he was asked. As a result, he became one of the most important prophets in the Bible.

Palm Sunday and The Crucifixion – Mark 15 – Matthew 21:1-17 Bible Stories

On Palm Sunday, we remember how Jesus entered Jerusalem as people waved palm branches and shouted Hosanna! (which means save us). The next day, Jesus went to the temple and drove out the money changers.

Nevertheless, He said they had turned His Father’s house of prayer into a den of thieves. The religious leaders challenged Jesus’ authority, but He answered their questions with stories called parables.

Finally, they plotted to kill Him. They told Judas to betray Jesus for 30 pieces of silver. Judas walked up to Jesus and kissed him in greeting as a friend would do. 

Therefore, he handed over some men who were carrying swords. They took Jesus away, put him on trial, convicted him, and nailed him to the cross for him to die. When Jesus got word of this, he withdrew from Jerusalem and hid in the town called Ephraim. 

Meanwhile, Judas betrayed him to the authorities by giving them his location. They arrested him and led him back to Pilate, who ordered him to be crucified on a cross because he claimed that Jesus was a threat to Rome. But not everyone agreed: those who believed in Him continued walking.

The Resurrection – Luke 24

On the third day after Jesus died, Mary Magdalene visited His tomb. To her surprise, the stone had been rolled away, and Jesus’ body was gone. 

Suddenly, Jesus appeared to her, and she realized He had risen from the dead! She ran back to tell the disciples the good news.

Because Jesus had conquered death, we can have hope that we will one day be reunited with our loved ones who have passed away. No matter what happens in this life, God has promised us eternal life in heaven with Him.
